Fabulous!

Last night my friend Greg had a party. One of his friends was gracious enough to let me take pictures while he wore a fabulous sequined jacket with a matching hat. The red sweatshirt underneath really made the outfit, in my opinion.

Many of the guests were actors. I don't really hang out with actors too much, but I always have a good time when I do. I love how theatrical they tend to be, how somehow they are always performing, even if we're just having a conversation. I love how actors express themselves through exaggerated mannerisms and body movements. It rubs off on me, too. I feel myself making strange faces, and I start waving my hands around a lot. At one point somehow suggested trying to see how many times each of us could spin in the air without falling. I could spin about one and a half times. My knees hurt today.

It's so weird getting old. I go to parties and act all wild and run around and give people flying side kicks to the head and for some reason I wake up achy.

I need to start working out again.

Or I need to download my brain onto a computer and exist in a virtual world.

Karin,

I hope I am invited to one of those parties you'll have when you have moved to Brooklyn.

I am one of the stars in a forthcoming reality series, Can’t Get a Date, on VH1 which debuts at midnight, April 7. Check out this promotion video clip where I appeared nude:

Well, I hope I still attend parties if and when I move to Brooklyn. I'm a little nervous about suddenly having no social network. I wonder if I'll commute to Philly every weekend.

I love that trailer! I love your sound bite. Very funny. It looks like a good show. I'll definitely check it out.

I like the idea of downloading your brain into a computer. Have you ever read John Varley's short stories? He talks about that quite a bit.

Zelda,

I've sent my stories to a whole bunch of places -- mostly the standard ones, without aiming too high -- but so far I've been rejected from Alaska Quarterly, Eclipse, Colorodo Review, Ascent, and a few others I can't remember.

As for Jergen Nation, I'm not sure if my pictures are as good or better, but one quality her photos have is cheeziness, which sells well across suburbia, I'm sure.

Neal, I haven't read that author. I should check it out. I've been kicking around a few sci-fi story ideas for some time, but for some reason I never pursue them. Turns out I enjoy writing about the intricacies of my emotional experiences rather than those of a made-up universe.
